Adventures you can explore in and out of Ticao Island
There are various dive sites that divers could explore namely:
Manta Bowl
Location: Manta Bowl is a reef located between the mainland of Luzon and Ticao Island, Masbate. Depth: Average diveable depth ranges from 20 to 30 meters Visibility: Ranging from 10 to 20 meters Currents: Manta Bowl is known for it's strong currents. Currents here can range from 3 to 5 knots during the months of December to the end of April. May to September pauses nil to mild currents; October to December - moderate to strong. Sightings: the highlights in this dive site is the great oceanic manta rays with sizes varying from 2 meters to 8 meter wing span. these animals roam the area whole year round because of the presence of planktons, it is also a site we consider as a cleaning station ( where sharks and rays as well as other pelagics visit to have their cleaning) and in some ocassions it has also been observed that manta bowl is an area were one can witness mantas mating. Aside from these huge mantas, whale sharks frequent the area on the months from November to June, were we see thick clouds of planktons near the surface. Other marine animals like the hummer head sharks, thresher sharks, black tip and white tip sharks, eagle rays and blue spotted sting rays are also regulars of the reef. Schools of baracudas, tunas, jacks and sweet lips are frequently seen. Manta bowl is also a haven for the photo enthusiasts who fond of macro. To mention a few like several different species of nudibranch, frog fish, different species of shrimps, pipe fishes and sea horses, octopus and cattle fish as well as squids. Certification Level: required certification level is PADI advance diver (or it's equivalent) or PADI basic open water diver with at least 50 dives experience.

Depth: Average diveable depth ranges from 20 to 30 meters Visibility: Ranging from 10 to 20 meters Currents: Nil to moderate Sightings: This particular dive site highlights it's spectacular rock formations and thick coral population. It displays a variety of colorful coral formation with the many rare species of marine life. Ocationally, we encounter eagle rays, manta rays and other pelagic marine animals passing through the area while diving. Certification Level: PADI basic open water diver. Bagababoy Island ( San Miguel cave 2)
Depth: Average diveable depth ranges from 20 to 30 meters Visibility: Ranging from 10 to 20 meters Currents: Nil to moderate Sightings: This particular dive site highlights it's thick coral population. It displays a variety of colorful coral formation with the many rare species of marine life. Ocationally,like San Miguel cave 1, we encounter eagle rays, manta rays and other pelagic marine animals passing through the area while diving. Certification Level: PADI basic open water diver.

Depth: Average diveable depth ranges from 20 to 30 meters Visibility: Ranging from 10 to 20 meters Currents: Nil to moderate Sightings: This particular dive site highlights it's 3 huge rock formations - thus it's name. Thick coral population. It displays a variety of colorful coral formation with the many rare species of marine life. Ocationally, like San Miguel cave 1, we encounter eagle rays, manta rays and other pelagic marine animals passing through the area while diving. Certification Level: PADI basic open water diver
St. Jerome's Reef
Location: Brgy. Tuguron,Ticao Island, Masbate. Depth: Average diveable depth ranges from 20 to 40 meters Visibility: Ranging from 10 to 20 meters Currents: Nil to moderate Site Description: St. Jerome's Reef is a small atoll reef with 20m depth at it's top and slope down on all sides to the deep. It's top has an approximate area of 100 sq. m. From top to a depth of about 35m, one can observe at the different coral formations and rock formations. There is a crack on one side of the attoll where we frequently encounter the different pelagics from sharks, school of baracudas, tunas and jacks. the entire attoll is also filled with the different species of nudibranch, shrimps and so many other interesting subjects for the photo enthusiasts.
